Royal Live Oaks Academy of the Arts & Sciences in Jasper County, is one of five finalists for
Erskine’s 2023-2024 Nathan Yon Institute Teacher of the Year award. The finalists represent
one-sixth of all nominations received from Erskine charters across the state.
“The opportunity to interview for this honor is a reflection of the trust, comradery, and collective
commitment of all the administrators, teachers, students, parents, and community leaders that
sow into me as I serve Jasper’s students,” Timothy said. “I hope to represent all stakeholders
well as I head into the second round of competition.”
This is Timothy’s 18th year of teaching, her sixth year with Royal Live Oaks Academy.
Finalists will be interviewed by a panel of judges on April 25 to determine eligibility for the top
prize.

It was a day of learning and networking with other school leaders and state officials. ]]> <![CDATA[Visit on March 27th, 2023 from State Representative Bill Hager]]> //www.rloacs.org/apps/bbmessages/show_bbm.jsp?REC_ID=142176 //www.rloacs.org/apps/bbmessages/show_bbm.jsp?REC_ID=142176 We were honored yesterday with a nice visit from State Jasper Representative Bill Hager, who took the time to tour the campus, stop to speak with teachers and students to understand our school and our needs. He has promised to advocate for us at the state level and help with industry contacts that are important for our CTE Program expansion.
We are excited that Mr. Hager will be speaking at our graduation. ]]>
