Bethanne Barner ML Instructional Coach

This is my third year at Royal Live Oaks Academy. This year I am starting a new role as ML instructional coach. I will be working with the teachers throughout the year to best support our ML students K-12.

I have lived in SC for 17 years. I have 11 years of experience as an ESOL teacher working with grades K-5. I also have 6 years of experience as a SC State trained ESOL Instructional Coach, working with ML and classroom teachers of grades K-12.

I am originally from Upstate NY. I have Bachelor's of Science degrees in Elementary Education and Math/Science/Technology Education from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, NY. I also have a Master's of Education Degree in Literacy & Curriculum and Instruction from Lesley University in Boston, MA.

I love working here at RLOACS! I also love being a mom. My son is 11 and my daughter is 9. He loves video games and she loves dancing and crafts. We love snuggling our dog, Luna. We also enjoy watching movies and going to the pool and the beach. I love to bake, sing, and read. If you read a good book, please let me know about it!

I am very excited to be a part of this wonderful staff and I look forward to an awesome year. See you in school!
