Denise Strong, High School Principal/CSI Director

This is my second year at Royal Live Oaks Academy and as the High School Principal, I am excited about what the year will bring for everyone. We have amazing plans for our students to embrace the spirit and community within the High School campus. We have several new staff members.  Be sure to visit the teacher staff landing page to read all about them and returning staff. 2022 -2023 is going to be the best year yet!!!!

I want to share with you my background.  I was born in Savannah, Georgia, however, I consider myself a South Carolinian since this is where I grew up.  I graduated from Winthrop University with a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education.  I received my Master's Degree at Charleston Southern University with a Educational Leadership, Administration, and Supervision certification.  For 29 years, I have served as an Elementary Teacher, Instructional Coach, Assistant Principal, and Principal in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Texas.  For the past 5 years I served as Transformation Coach in the Office of School Transformation for the South Carolina Department of Education.

Growing up as the oldest of 6 girls, I believe this sparked my interest in teaching and aspiring to make a difference in lives.  I am a chef wannabe who enjoys cooking, and creating recipes.  In addition, I love to read, travel, and cuddling with Inky, my cat.

I am honored and proud to serve and support the Royal Live Oaks Academy students, teachers, parents and community.  I am committed to the social-emotional and Commitment to Academic Excellence core values of Royal Live Oaks Academy.
