About Me

Welcome to my page Royal Knights and families! 

 

My name is Shalonda Toomer and I am the Director of Special Education and Student Services. I am originally from the small town of Fairfax, SC and moved here to the Lowcountry 15 years ago when I married my wonderful husband Frederick.  We have two boys one in Middle School and the other in High School.  I love spending time with my family and close friends, traveling, eating, and shopping.     

 

I am entering my 21st year in education and love teaching and learning. My past experiences over the last 21 years include, Special Education teacher, Adult Ed Teacher, Special Education Coordinator,  Director of Testing and now this year Student Services.  I am excited to be serving the students, families and staff of Royal Live Oaks Academy.  I will continue to be an advocate for children and encourage them to be the best that they can be in all aspects of their lives.    

 

I will be encouraging our - Royal Knights to think critically with integrity to solve problems.
