Title I-Financial Aid to School Districts

Title I, Part A of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) of 1965 is a federal program that provides financial assistance to school districts to help children from low-income families receive a high-quality education. The program's goals are to:

  • Close achievement gaps

  • Help children meet state academic standards

  • Provide research-based strategies to address areas of greatest need

  • Involve parents in their children's education

The purpose of Title I, Part A of Public Law 107-110 is to enable schools to provide opportunities for children served to acquire the knowledge and skills contained in the challenging state content standards and to meet the challenging state performance standards developed for all children.

This purpose is accomplished by such efforts as:

-Providing an enriched and accelerated educational program;
-Promoting schoolwide reform through schoolwide programs or through additional services that increase the amount and quality of instructional time;
-Significantly upgrading the quality of instruction by providing staff in participating schools with substantial opportunities for professional development; and
-Affording parents meaningful opportunities to participate in the education of their children at home and at school.
-South Carolina Granted Flexibility

On July 19, 2012, the U.S. Department of Education (USED) approved South Carolina's request for ESEA flexibility.

South Carolina’s Annual State Report Card

Royal Live Oaks Charter School Title I Compliance Statement

Royal Live Oaks Charter School is a Title I school. In compliance with the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) Section 1111(h)(2), Local Educational Agencies (LEAs) are required to prepare and share an annual school report card. Each LEA report card must be accessible to the public, which includes posting it on the school’s website. This requirement is monitored by the Consolidated Monitoring Indicator RC-1.

The most recent State Report Card available is for the 2023–2024 school year. These report cards provide important information on how our students are performing, how our school is rated by the State of South Carolina, and how we compare to other schools across the state.

Please use the links below to view our school’s report card by grade level:

We encourage all families to review this information, as it helps us work together to support student growth and success.
