Welcome to First Grade

Welcome to the 2025–2026 School Year at Royal Live Oaks!

I’m so excited to begin this new school year with your child in first grade! We have so many learning adventures ahead, and I can’t wait to watch each student grow, explore, and succeed. This year marks my 17th year in education and my fifth year here at Royal Live Oaks. I’m fortunate to work alongside Ms. Moore, our wonderful assistant teacher, and Ms. Jenny, our dedicated classroom volunteer.

A little about me—I’m a lifelong Hardeeville resident. After high school, I earned my Bachelor’s Degree from Georgia Southern University and my Master’s Degree from Armstrong Atlantic State University. I’m married to my husband, Craig, and we have two wonderful daughters, Bailey and Ellie, as well as two beloved dogs, Khloe and Rhett.

We will be using ClassDojo as our primary communication tool. You will receive an email or text invitation from me to join our class. If you don’t see it, please let me know, and I’ll send a paper invitation home in your child’s folder. ClassDojo is a quick, easy, and effective way for us to stay connected about classroom news, important updates, and your child’s progress.

¡Bienvenidos al año escolar 2025–2026 en Royal Live Oaks!

¡Estoy muy emocionada de comenzar este nuevo año escolar con su hijo/a en primer grado! Tenemos por delante muchas aventuras de aprendizaje, y no puedo esperar para ver cómo cada estudiante crece, explora y tiene éxito. Este año marca mi 17º año en la educación y mi quinto año aquí en Royal Live Oaks. Tengo la fortuna de trabajar junto a la Sra. Moore, nuestra maravillosa asistente de maestra, y la Sra. Jenny, nuestra dedicada voluntaria en el salón de clases.

Un poco sobre mí: soy residente de Hardeeville de toda la vida. Después de la escuela secundaria, obtuve mi licenciatura en la Universidad de Georgia Southern y mi maestría en la Universidad Estatal Armstrong Atlantic. Estoy casada con mi esposo, Craig, y tenemos dos hijas maravillosas, Bailey y Ellie, así como dos queridas perritas, Khloe y Rhett.

Usaremos ClassDojo como nuestra herramienta principal de comunicación. Usted recibirá una invitación por correo electrónico de mi parte para unirse a nuestra clase. Si no la ve, por favor hágamelo saber y enviaré una invitación en papel a casa en la carpeta de su hijo/a. ClassDojo es una forma rápida, fácil y efectiva para mantenernos conectados sobre noticias del salón, actualizaciones importantes y el progreso de su hijo/a.
