Hello Everyone!

I am so excited to be returning to the Royal Live Oaks Academy Charter School Team this year as a High School Math Teacher! We are going to have a fantastic year exploring all Math Concepts this year. I was born in Virginia and have family throughout the Lowcountry of South Carolina. I am a wife, mother of 2, and a veteran and passionate educator with 19 years’ experience. I am focused on providing innovative, research-based, authentic learning experiences and success to every student through problem-based learning, STEM, and collaborative learning.

I completed my Bachelor's of Arts in History at the University of South Carolina Aiken. I taught one year of US History 101 at Georgia Southern University. Upon discovering a passion for secondary students, I began teaching middle school social studies in Colleton County, becoming certified through PACE in secondary social studies. I completed my Master's of Arts in Teaching Mathematics in 2012 at the University of Phoenix. Then in 2018, I went on to complete my PhD in Instructional Design and Technology at Keiser University, followed by an Ed. S. in Educational Leadership in 2019.

I moved to Royal Live Oaks Academy in 2020 to teach secondary social studies and math. In 2022, I completed a Master's of Arts in School Leadership at Gardner-Webb University.
