Welcome to the Middle School at Royal Live Oaks Academy! My name is Susan Koves, and I am honored to serve as your Middle School Principal. With a passion for academic excellence, equity, and student empowerment, I am committed to creating a learning environment where all students can grow, thrive, and lead.

With over 25 years of experience in education, I’ve served in various roles including Principal, Director of Student Services, Department Chair for Special Education and ESOL, and classroom teacher. These experiences have given me a well-rounded perspective on how to support every student—academically, socially, and emotionally.

At Royal Live Oaks Academy, our middle school focuses on rigor, relevance, and relationships. We believe students learn best when they are engaged, challenged, and supported. My goal is to help students build strong academic foundations while developing confidence, character, and leadership skills.

We encourage families to partner with us as we guide students through these critical years. Communication, collaboration, and consistency are key to student success, and I look forward to working with you to support your child’s educational journey.
