Sarah Brich

Sarah is excited to join the Royal Live Oaks Academy community as an Elementary Reading Tutor and High School Web Design Instructor.

She is passionate about helping students become confident readers through evidence-based literacy instruction. Her professional learning includes EBLI training, Reading Simplified training, a Science of Reading microcredential from SUNY, and literacy coursework through Cox Campus. She was also honored to present virtually on literacy at the Childhood Apraxia of Speech Conference in 2026, where she shared reading strategies to support children with childhood apraxia of speech.

In addition to literacy, Sarah enjoys teaching technology and creativity. She has taught web development to adult learners through programs affiliated with Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt University, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and has over 15 years in the web development world. In her high school web design classes, she looks forward to helping students develop technical skills, coding basics, UX, and thoughtful AI usage.

Sarah enjoys the connection between literacy and coding because both require students to recognize patterns, think critically, and build meaning step by step. Whether decoding words or creating websites, she loves helping students develop the skills and confidence to solve problems and express their ideas.

Outside of school, Sarah enjoys creating art, reading, and paddle boarding. She is originally from Pittsburgh and loves the Low Country of South Carolina.
