Denise Strong, Secondary Principal/CSI Director
I am excited to start my first year at Royal Live Oaks Academy as Secondary Principal for Middle School and High School. I want to share with you my background. I was born in Savannah, Georgia, however, I consider myself a South Carolinian since this is where I grew up. I graduated from Winthrop University with a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education. I received my Master's Degree at Charleston Southern University with a Educational Leadership, Administration, and Supervision certification. For 28 years, I have served as an Elementary Teacher, Instructional Coach, Assistant Principal, and Principal in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Texas. For the past 5 years I served as Transformation Coach in the Office of School Transformation for the South Carolina Department of Education.
Growing up as the oldest of 6 girls, I believe this sparked my interest in teaching and aspiring to make a difference in lives. I am a chef wannabe who enjoys cooking, and creating recipes. In addition, I love to read, travel, and cuddling with Inky, my cat.
I am honored and proud to serve and support the Royal Live Oaks Academy students, teachers, parents and community. I am committed to the social-emotional and Commitment to Academic Excellence core values of Royal Live Oaks Academy.
We are Royal Knights strong where:
