we started eight years ago a K through 8 school and we added a grade each year and we were in Modular Buildings approached instruction and we had the opportunity to have this land gifted to us and we just been occupying it since January 24th so it wasn't a very long time before covid-19 we've had to do since it's pretty dramatic as I think it would be for most schools because we had to really bone up all the digital tools that we use and take a very different approach in terms of how we communicate and how we engage students he is reaching out to the students are trying to now what we need to put in place and how we need to serve them it's nothing bad what we've shown from the leadership side as we are really trying to listen to you we are making this about you this is your child's education this is your safety we just shown in this town we are really listening to still provide that we know it's going to be challenging so how can we help tours a ride to that occasion to serve your students you know how policies and what we're saying they all in the harmony with each other and I the community around that sees that they feel that and that's why they trust what we're doing for our training we did require our teachers to complete Google one and Google 2 certification we've had our teachers participate in TD and have her IT director help teachers how to utilize the materials train the students and their parents are we have a resource page on our website that guides the parents on how go to assess their students I have to say that the amount that the teachers have been able to learn and the speed with which they've done it has really been amazing we have teachers that have never heard of Google meet who are now some of the best session we've ever seen with their kid they're able to communicate with them and read them books and since timelessly switch in between their document camera where they're reading a book to back to their green and so just the amount that they've been able to learn and Implement and V are really excited about this new learning I think is one of our best successes and all of it even if it wasn't a pandemic we closed for snow we supposed hurricane so we I feel like we're much more for right now to switch seamlessly into doing distance learning again whenever we have to turn her education courses still public education but we are tasked with being more Innovative and leading the way information to the Local District school would be able to learn from that into grow as well so that all children have the opportunity
